Pond - in April

Following the spring clean we gave it in March, the pond is starting to look more lush as the grasses grow taller in the shallow end and the plants along the back start to spout leaves. It's also surprising what a difference mowing the lawn and smartening up the edge makes!

The pre-filter on the pump currently needs cleaning almost on a weekly basis, and this week we cleaned a year's accumulation of dead algae muck out of the UV chamber in the filter. Hopefully the pump/filter cleaning will reduce as the year progresses!
