On the 21^st of February we went on a trip to the Tower of London. I gulped down my breakfast, raced upstairs and packed my bag secretly hiding my Pound Purries inside. Daniel managed to slip his Pound Jungles in too.

Then we set off, dad drove us to the station, we waited for the train going by, and then we parked and waited for the train.

When we got on it, Daniel went to the toilet, and didn't know how to use the sink (Dan: There was a knob and if you put your foot on it and it would flush and there's another knob and you do the same thing but it turns the tap on.) Dad took a photo of me, Dan and Jon, and I took a photo of him, mum and Bob (I couldn't fit dad in so he had to lean over!)

A few trains whizzed past us, we stopped at stations and signals and went through tunnels, and finally we got to the underground station. Then we got on a District Line train, which took us the wrong way, then we got on another one that did the same. Then we got on a District Line train that took us the right way.

We got off at Tower Hill, there was a statue of a roman emperor. Mum and dad found something to read, and me Dan and Jon fiddled with the statue, I soon got bored with doing that so I chased the pigeons instead.

We walked through the walkway, and got the tickets, then we showed them. We were going to take the tour but we didn't. Me Dan and Jon got this children's trail thing. It's a quiz about the Tower of London, and when you've finished it you get a small prize. The children's trail took us to the White Tower, where we saw Henry VIII's armour, and how the White Tower was built. We went down loads of spiral steps and got out. Outside we saw a cannon, it had got lots of rubbish in.

Dan: Kim forgot to say anything about lunch. For lunch we had cheese and chive flavour type of crisps lemon and apple cake and sandwiches but kim and me didn't have any sandwiches.We had lunch on a bench and we could see the White Tower from the bench.

Dad took a picture of us with a Beefeater, after that we went into the crown jewel house. We got on an escalator that ran on the floor, and saw lots of crowns. At the end we all got off, but Daniel's shoelace got stuck, and if dad hadn't pulled it out, Daniel's foot might have been pulled off. Then we saw lots of golden things including a massive punch bowl.

We left the jewel house and saw Traitors gate, Jon got lost, but we found him again. We went to the shop but it was closed so we returned our children's trails and got a colouring pen.

We found another shop and mum bought us something, I got a mini silver model of the White Tower and a candy stick (actually we all got a candy stick.) Daniel got a pen and a notepad, Jon got the same, and Bob got a mini model of a knight.

We went back to the station and bumped into some of my friends from school, then we went home. We got a K.F.C for dinner and then we went to bed, it really was the best day out.
