Excitement gripped the SixWhippys household on the evening Friday 12th Jan when our Force Feedback steering wheel was finally delivered.

Ordered from pcworld.co.uk just before New Year, the steering wheel was one of Graeme's Christmas presents, courtesy of Eric and Ann. "I know it's a bit frivolous" said Graeme, "but if I don't get one now I never will".

Disappointingly, the Guillemot/Thrustmaster wheel didn't come with any free games, and the copy of Grand Prix 3 ordered at the same time as the wheel had still not arrived by the time it was delivered. Not surprisingly the thrill of playing with the Force Feedback settings in the set-up dialog box soon pailed, so on Saturday a trip was made to PC World to buy a copy of "Colin McRae Rally 2.0".

The combination of the FF steering wheel and CMR 2.0 was found by all SixWhippys (well, at least those whose legs could reach the pedals) to be adrenalin pumpingingly totally awesome, though we are all grateful that Jon wasn't behind the wheel of a real car!

And yes, Graeme did get a go... every now and again...
